When you use BuildX — whether you're running a cost estimate, asking the AI a question, or submitting a lead form to reach a contractor — we collect the information you give us directly. That includes your name, email address, phone number, and project details like property address or scope of work. We also collect standard usage data: pages visited, features used, and how you found us.
2. Why We Collect It
We use your information to do exactly what you came here for: give you accurate cost estimates, match you with contractors who work in your area, and route your project inquiry to the right people. We also use it to improve our calculators, refine our AI responses, and keep the platform running reliably. We don't sell your data. We don't use it to build ad profiles. We use it to help you get your project done.
3. Who We Share It With
When you submit a lead form or request a quote through BuildX, your contact information goes to the contractor you're reaching out to. That's the point. We also work with a small set of infrastructure providers (hosting, analytics, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under strict agreements. We don't share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone outside that circle.
4. How We Protect It
Your data is stored in a secured database, protected by row-level access controls, encrypted in transit, and accessible only to authorized systems. We apply the same standard we'd expect from any platform handling our own information: access controls, audit logging, and no unnecessary exposure. No system is perfectly impenetrable, but we take this seriously.
5. Your Rights
You can request access to the data we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you've received marketing emails from us, there's an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every one. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@buildx.pro and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the platform so we can improve it. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. If you block cookies entirely, some features (like saved estimates) may not work as expected.
